Cookie Policy
Which cookies we set, what each one does, and how to change your mind. Nothing beyond the strictly necessary runs on this site until you have actively agreed to it.
1. What this site stores on your device
Nothing, unless you ask us to. This site sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser’s storage in the ordinary course of a visit. Because nothing is stored that would need your permission, you are not shown a consent banner — there is nothing to consent to.
The one exception is the opt-out below. If you ask not to be counted, we store a single marker on your device to remember that, because remembering it is the only way to honour it.
2. How we count visits
We count which pages are read and which buttons are pressed, so we can tell a page that works from one that does not. This is done on our own servers. Nothing is stored on your device for it.
To avoid counting one person ten times, visits are grouped by a key our server calculates from your request, mixed with a secret that changes every day. The key cannot be turned back into your address, and today’s key for a visitor has no relationship to tomorrow’s — so these records cannot be assembled into a history of you, and we could not identify you from them if we tried.
You can opt out at any time by adding ?notrack=1 to the address of any page on this site. It takes effect immediately and stays until you clear your browser storage, or until you visit with ?notrack=0.
3. Third parties and advertising
We use no third-party analytics on this site — no Google Analytics, no advertising or social media trackers, and no profiling. When you continue to a payment, that happens on our checkout, whose own cookie use is described in the Cookie Policy published there.
5. Controlling cookies in your browser
Independently of our banner, you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break the checkout, and possibly the language switcher.
